About the Journal

The journal Social Fronteriza, publishes its contents during the first 5 days of the months of: (September-October; November-December; January-February; March-April; May-June; July-August) receiving quality works for review by referees specialized in the subject, each work is subjected to the analysis of similarity. To publish in the journal, the user must register in the platform and follow the editorial and publication rules. The structure of an original article: Known as the "IMRD format", the four sections of Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, and specifically establish a conclusion to it, which are the approach of the research and are submitted to be accepted or not.  

Public / Community of Interest
The Frontier Social Journal has as its community of interest scientific researchers interested in reporting to the scientific community in the different lines of research. The coverage is also extended to teachers of all educational levels in Ecuador and internationally, with the intention that in the work product of research can find answers and contribute to the various problems they face in their daily work. At the same time, the public of interest of the journal is the community of undergraduate and graduate students.

Types of articles published in Revista Social Fronteriza

Original articles: works where original results of unpublished research are presented and analyzed. It must be structured with: introduction, methodology, results, discussion and conclusion.
Essays and reviews: articles where points of view or results of a theoretical research on a particular topic are expressed; the sections follow a free format.
Review articles: scientific product that allows the compilation of information and bibliography on a definite topic, with the purpose of knowing the advances and preferences of society.

Peer/reviewer responsibilities
Reviews by experts should be objective, fair, and reflective in order to strengthen the quality of the manuscripts. The reviewers' impressions should be independent of personal opinions or value judgments. If the reviewer does not consider himself/herself sufficiently expert or qualified to review an article, he/she should say so after reading the abstract, before the full article is sent to him/her.

Peers must be free of any conflict of interest in relation to the authors, since the double-blind system is guaranteed, in which the authorship of the evaluated papers or their funders will not be known, which may bias their decision towards the acceptance or rejection of a particular manuscript, and if they have an insurmountable impediment, they must state it before the Editorial Committee sends them the full text of the manuscript.

It is the reviewers' commitment to bring to the attention of the relevant authors references that they have not included in their work. It is also the reviewer's responsibility to alert the Editorial Board about an episode of double publication that has not been announced by the Journal.

The handling of papers submitted for review should be completely confidential, and should not be shared with anyone.

Responsibilities of the Editors
The Editorial Board of the Revista Social Fronteriza must treat all authors submitting papers equally, without distinction as to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, nationality, or political philosophy of the authors; the procedures described in this statement.

The Editors must be free of any conflict of interest related to the authors, the work or its funders that would bias their decision to accept or reject a particular manuscript, and if they have an insurmountable impediment, they should promptly declare it and withdraw from the evaluation of a particular work.

The members of the Editorial Committee of the journal should not disclose to anyone the content of articles submitted for consideration for publication. The Committee also undertakes to follow the necessary procedures to ensure that the identity of the reviewers remains anonymous.

If a member of the Editorial Committee notices errors or inaccuracies in articles that have already been published, it is his/her responsibility to inform the other members via e-mail on the Committee's platform, in order to proceed with a correction or retraction as appropriate.
