Transportation cost and its impact on the distribution of the J&C company, Santo Domingo 2023.

Abstract

This thesis work is focused on the cost of transportation and its impact on the distribution of the J&C company, which allows us to analyze whether there is a need to make a proposal for the distribution of the aforementioned company, in which it was verified that it does not have scientific distribution logistics processes. Through the study carried out, the feasibility of applying the proposal of hiring route planning software is calculated, as well as the hiring of companies that provide distribution services, so this measure will not only increase sales, but will also guarantee delivery punctual delivery of merchandise at an affordable cost for the company. The current situation of the company is made known, where the transportation costs and their impact on the distribution of merchandise are identified, therefore, it is concluded that the transportation costs are high and that the distribution processes carried out in the company are not efficient, a mixed approach is applied. It is proposed to implement strategic activities that help reduce the cost of transportation and improve the distribution of the J&C company, through the application of automated route planners and tertiary vehicle fleet that allow the development of the company
