Abstract

The objective of this work was to adapt the reverse logistics in waste management in the Supermarket located in the A. V Jacinto Cortez Jhayya in Santo Domingo, for this, a study was made of the current situation of the company which reflected inconveniences with respect to the waste generated by it, among its main waste we find plastics, cardboard, paper, for this a descriptive and exploratory type of research was carried out to determine the main problems of the company, a non-probabilistic sampling by convenience was applied and tools such as the survey and the observation sheet were generated for the collection of information from workers in the waste management area. The research focused on establishing a proposal for the application of reverse logistics and thus improve the company's waste management.  Among the results obtained are the correct management and control of the waste generated by the company as a result of the implementation of giving cardboard a new useful life, thus providing a better organization of the waste, favoring its recycling, in addition to improving the environmental quality of the sites surrounding the supermarket, and generating an economic benefit for the company.
