Abstract

This article analyzes the levels of transparency of the information that is published on the multiplatform of the Amazon State University, located in the Puyo canton, province of Pastaza, applying the Infoparticipa Map methodology, which consists of the evaluation of the website with indicators that measure the quality of the information. The study theoretically addresses the concepts of transparency, access to public information, citizen participation, the role of citizens in the control of democracy, from the perspective of several theorists and the Ecuadorian legal framework: LOTAIP, Organic Law of Citizen Participation, Constitution of the Republic. It demonstrates the degree of compliance with the transparency of information and the mechanisms of citizen participation within the management of the institution, as well as the levels of satisfaction of students, teachers and administrative staff regarding the information published in digital spaces, considering that the Citizens have the right to exercise social control over the investment of public resources for the common well-being, preventing and avoiding corruption in public institutions.
