It is concluded that the impact of the use of ICT on the academic writing performance of university students in Latin America has been significant, because many of the students who have known how to take advantage of all the tools and resources that have allowed them to complement their knowledge in regarding the writing of academic texts, but this depends a lot on the direction of the teacher, on the culture of writing and reading of the students to take advantage of improving all the tools and sources of information that can be obtained from ICT.
