This research focused on the preparation of orders of the company LEHOLAB CÍA. LTDA. located in Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, Ecuador. The main objective was to analyze order preparation costs and their impact on operational profitability. For this purpose, the company's current situation was diagnosed, identifying factors that influence these variables. The methodology used was a descriptive and exploratory research. To obtain information, tools such as interviews and surveys were used, which were carried out with a population of 6 people. The results obtained from the application of the tools showed that the lack of prior inspection in the preparation of orders generated significant time losses, causing delays in deliveries. To optimize this process, it is suggested that a tour of the work areas be conducted beforehand to identify possible problems and improve operational efficiency. In conclusion, order preparation is an essential part of the processes and having problems in this area affects the company's operational profitability
