Artificial Intelligence for tourism promotion in the Amazon and the perception of the digital user

Tourism promotion in the Ecuadorian Amazon has several challenges such as: preservation of natural environment, limited access and competition with other international tourist destinations. This research has a descriptive and exploratory approach, with the purpose of identifying the different applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for tourism promotion and recognize the perception of digital users on the use of these tools to promote tourism in the Amazon. Data were collected through a questionnaire that was distributed online through Google Forms. The results show that most users are not completely familiar with the use of Artificial Intelligence in tourism promotion. It is concluded that, AI has the potential to boost tourism promotion, but it is necessary to further educate users about its advantages and increase its visibility.
