Abstract

This study examines how technology influences the improvement of listening comprehension skills in students in an Ecuadorian school. The integration of technological tools in the teaching-learning process has transformed the educational environment, facilitating access to authentic materials and promoting interactive environments that motivate students. A qualitative methodology using observation rubrics and checklists was used to evaluate both teachers' implementation of technology and students' perception of its effectiveness. The results show that, after the implementation of improved tools and strategies in the lesson plan, an increase in the effectiveness of educational practices was observed. This included increased student engagement, more efficient access to listening activities, and personalization of learning through targeted feedback. The data suggest that technology, when employed strategically, can significantly enhance students' listening skills. The study concludes that it is crucial to continue to expand teacher training in the use of technology and strengthen the integration of these tools into the curriculum to optimize educational outcomes in English language instruction.
