Pandemia COVID -19 e a Intervenção da Assistente Social nas afiliadas do Instituto Equatoriano de Segurança Social.

The Social Worker, due to his humanistic training, attends diverse situations in
different societies, which allows him to have a wide intervention scenario,
especially when it is related to health, so the objective of this research was to
identify the intervention of the Social Worker in IESS affiliates during the COVID-19
pandemic. For which a methodology with a qualitative and quantitative approach
was used, at the level of the descriptive method, bibliographic by means of the
structured interview applied to Social Workers of the IESS, while with the affiliates
a survey was used as a technique and as an instrument the interview guide, and
the survey form, in which the population was of 80 affiliates of the IESS. The
results showed that 85% of those surveyed responded that they use a lot the
attention provided by the social worker at the IESS, while the professionals
mentioned that orienting, advising, guiding relatives of patients in terms of the care
provided by the social worker in the IESS, while the professionals mentioned that
they use the care provided by the social worker in the IESS, In conclusion, the
intervention in times of pandemic represents a challenge for social workers as an
important part of their actions, without excluding any user, it is verified that the
actions carried out are close to the role of educating and encouraging users to the
good use and control of biosecurity to protect any factor that implies contagion.
